Walk information

Location: Don Valley Stadium, Worksop, Sheffield S9 3TL
Route: 5km route around Don Valley and surrounding area

Entries must be received by Tuesday, 7th July 2009
Why: Help us raise vital funds and promote awareness of cancer here in our region. So, pull on your trainers, get involved and walk for your mum, dad, grandma, granddad, husband, wife or friend – together we can take positive steps and help make a real difference to the work that Weston Park Hospital dedicates to helping men living with cancer.

This is suitable for wheelchair users with assistance however we would ask you to make this clear when registering your place in the event.

Bag Storage

Please note there are no left luggage facilities at Don Valley Stadium. Leave your personal belongings with a friend or family member who is not taking part.

Mileage Signs
Mileage signs will be provided at each 1km point along the route

Car Park is situated at Don Valley Stadium

Travel Advice

We strongly recommend that you use public transport or car share.
Please arrive at least half an hour before the start of ‘Walk as One’ to avoid queuing.

 

Insurance
All participants must complete and sign a declaration (included on the entry form)

Restrictions

Walkers are not allowed to walk with pets

Dogs

Guide Dogs are welcome at the event but unfortunately other dogs are not allowed

Official Rules

The course will be taped and signed with marshals. Competitors must follow marshal’s directions.
Walker’s will be given 5 minutes warning before the start of both the ‘Walk as One’ 5k Walk.

First Aid

(provided by UK Medical Event) First Aid will be based at the Starting/Finishing area. On course marshals to be notified of any first aid needs.
